Merged Local 128N:
Strength in unity
Members of four GCIU local unions held a celebration in Dayton,
Ohio, to remember over 18 months of hard work that resulted in a successful merger.
GCIU Locals Dayton 56N, Cincinnati 20N, Columbus 15N and Indianapolis 37N are now unified
under the charter of Local 128N. Each of the old locals was presented with a clock and a plaque
commemorating the merger.
Citing loss of membership and other factors, 13 members of the four locals met for over a
year-and-a-half to iron out details of the consolidation.
The new officers of the new local are: Pres. Robert Bryan, Secy.-Treas. David Parsley, Dayton
Vice Pres. Fred Paxton, Columbus Vice Pres. Phil Schick, Cincinnati Vice Pres. Joe
Kunkemoeller, and Indianapolis Vice Pres. Tom White.
