General Board accepts
new electors, committees

The GCIU General Board accepted new appointments to the Board of Electors, the Women's Symposium Committee, and the Minorities' Symposium Committee. Appointments were recommended by GCIU Pres. George Tedeschi.

Tedeschi welcomed the new appointees to their work in conjunction with the International and said GCIU officers and staff look forward to working with them. "We are very pleased to have new participants who will bring new energy and ideas to International activities," he said.

Toronto 500M Exec. Vice Pres. Frank O'Reilly is the only continuing member of the Board of Electors. Newly named board members are: Boston 3N Pres. Martin Callaghan; Washington Court House 774S Pres. Brenda Eggleton; Atlanta 8M Pres. Dale Harrell; St. Louis 505M Secy.-Treas. Chico Humes; San Francisco 583M Pres. Lee Lahtinen; and Washington 538C Pres. George M. Parrish.

GCIU Vice Pres. Leonard E. Adams will serve as the International liaison for the Women's Symposium Committee. Committee members are: Saundra Barringer of Salem 554M; Patricia Chabot of Chicago 458M; Amie Owens of Boston 67C; Sherrie Rasmusson of Providence 12N; Darlene deRidder of Toronto 100M; and Cassandra Williams of Washington 713S.

Serving as the International liaison for the Minorities' Symposium Committee is GCIU Vice Pres. Lawrence Martinez. Committee members are: Paul Garcia of Los Angeles 404M; Leonila Leon of Chicago 415S; Wallace McDade of Washington 538C; Rosemary McKinney of Rochester 503M; Margaret Owen of Richmond 670C; James parker of Atlanta 527S; and a Canadian to be named.
