Over the past 58 years, the United States has had positive job growth – until now. That includes 10 presidents – both Republican and Democrat – throughout wars and economic downturn.

GCIU Vice Pres. Lawrence Martinez, who chairs the GCIU General Board Legislative Committee, suggests that members compare the presidents' individual records for monthly job growth, as provided by the Minority House Staff Appropriations Committee.

What can you do? Martinez suggests that you "write or email your congressperson. Write or email your senators. Write or email the president. Demand jobs! And buy made in the USA or Canada!
